Barbarians knew they had to improve for next season.

There were many great displays on the pitch with Joey Sacarello putting on a captains performance, Harvey Leroy proving size doesn't matter and its guts that make a good tackler but player of the day went to Giuseppe Plantone who was made to play out of position on the wing and played his heart out in defence and attack.

It is a testament to the level of improvement that the size difference between the Barbarians and some of the players they come up against is no longer worthy of report though it was still there for all to see. Our attacking style of play has developed to negate the physical attributes of some of the giants we come up against. Defensively the Barbarians have come so far that they couldn't careless how big the other team is, they know they will take them down, whether it be one on one or with help from team mates, the job gets done.

Though these tournaments have now come to an end the season is not quite over and preparations are already underway for next season.

Training continues on Tuesday's at DTC from 6pm to 7:30pm, after school club on Wednesdays at the main pitch at Victoria stadium from 3:30pm to 5pm and on Sunday's from 10am to 12pm.

Due to other results this meant we went into our final game against the hosts Estrecho knowing the winners of the game would top the group.

The first 10 minutes of the 15 minute game were an aggressive battle with many of the boys in both teams knowing each other from school. However despite a valiant effort from the Barbarians the final 5 minutes saw energy levels drop and the gates open with Estrecho running in three well deserved tries. On reflection they were the better side and the
