The Scrummary - September 2015 | Page 20

In early October, the Super IV season will kick off in Victoria Stadium, where it will be available for all fans to come down and watch. The games will again be played on a Thursday night but will for the first time, offer a full rugby experience, including kicking for penalties and conversions as we will have access to the Rugby Posts.

The 2015/2016 season will see some mixing up of the teams as the drafting process for National Team and Development team players comes into effect. This should help even up the teams and ensure a competitive League. The National Team selectors will also be present at SIV games adding to the need to perform in the domestic League.

In 2014/2015 it was again the Kedhlow Buccaneers who won the league by utilising their age and experience, however their performances did tale off in the latter stages and were beaten in round 1 of the Cup.

This season will see a much greater challenge and it is all to play for with 4 clubs capable of taking the league title. The Sovereign Scorpions won the Cup last season and were the team in form as the season came to an end. Can they continue their form into this season like the Inline Framing Sharks did in 2013? Will the Inline framing Sharks bounce back to prove they can win again or will the power of the Nature Group Stormers finally come to fruition allowing them to win their second League Title.

With all teams having won silverware in the last 5 seasons, this season should be a great spectacle so please come down and join us from 7.00pm on Thursday evenings.
