Dear Mum,
It was with some trepidation that we stepped down for breakfast as at the last EGORF tour breakfast consisted of couscous, cold ratatouille and frankfurters. However, I’m pleased to say that we seemed to have struck better fare this time!
3 matches and two wins! A great start to the first day and the phrase 'feed the hair and he will score' was born!
Battered and bruised but still in good spirits we dealt with the important legal matters in the hotel bar and moved on to a local restaurant, which again was only 10 minutes’ walk from our hotel. The restaurant overlooked the beach and there we were presented with an interesting combination of plates picked by our very own captain and of course beer.
Finally by way of a night cap we moved onto the beautiful old city of San Sebastian which was full of locals, visitors and rugby players enjoying the warm evening and atmosphere.
