Postcards from the edge!!
Dear Mum,
Landed safely in Bilbao to be met by 28 other smart and smiling team members looking impressive in their new blue Gibraltar Veterans Tour Polo Shirts. Our new team manager Sergeant Ivor Morgan was talking to a couple of RAF Pilots who had landed nearby as they were on a stag do (or at least that what he was told). Anyway we all got on the coach and had the longest 10 minute commute I can remember, I’m beginning to think it might have been significantly longer than that!
Having checked into my hotel room in San Sebastian which on previous experience was a lot better than the last EGROF tour, this hotel had running water and not just down the walls, we made our way to the Opening Ceremony to join in the fun.
Here was an opportunity to meet up with old friends and if you were lucky grab a chicken leg in a bun!!
