The Inline Framing Sharks

Season Round Up

After 2 fantastic years in 2013 & 2014 which saw the Inline Framing Sharks take two cup finals and one league trophy, the 2015 campaign was expected by many of the team to be a time to rebuild. Many of the team members from the previous successful years having now retired or left Gibraltar for University so the new squad for the 2014/15 season had a very different look about it. Sam Depoortere stepped up to manage the team following Robert Penfold’s recent departure from Gibraltar. Although early results showed the inexperience in the team some good performances and results were achieved. In the end this wasn’t enough to lift the team from the bottom of the league at the end of the season. The highlight of the year was a stunning win against the Kedhlow Buccanneers in the semi-final play-off and a place in their third cup final in a row. Although it turned out not to be third time lucky against a strong and powerful Scorpions team who were well worth their first major honour, the Sharks were pleased with their overall performance.
