How did you and your partner meet?
I started as a line cook at our first restaurant in Sterling
Heights, Michigan. Michael Ansley was the general manager
at the time. I was home on break from college, and my parents
told me I needed to make some extra money when I was up at
school.
What drew you to the brand?
business environment, it is easy to over-complicate matters and
get focused on the wrong things.
What is your favorite BWW wing sauce?
Old school: Hot BBQ. New school: Asian Zing.

The culture of the brand, the passion of our team and the
atmosphere of the restaurants on gameday.
What is your favorite thing about the brand?
The culture. I really enjoy the people-focused culture at
Buffalo Wild Wings®.
What are your current top three business goals?
Our top priority is to provide our team with the tools,
motivation and skills to take great care of our guests.
What is the best business advice you have
received?
This is a tough one. I have learned so much from business
partners, professors, industry executives and mentors. If I had
to settle on one that really resonated with me, I would go with
a quote from a book I read by Peter Drucker: “Good managers
manage the business. Leaders manage the systems and culture
that manage the business.”
Describe the biggest industry change since you
started.

Simply, the ever-changing world we do business in every
day. There are so many different dynamics that affect our
restaurants. It’s challenging and rewarding to continue to
develop strategic plans that align with the ever-changing business environment.
