benefit from some of the knowledge and experience I have
obtained.

What is your favorite thing about the brand? To see the evolution of the brand from both a service and physical plant standpoint over my 18 years with the concept. Innovation in new
menu products using current SKUs, testing new sauces and
adding whatever value I can to help the brand continue to grow.
What do you look forward to accomplishing while serving on
the board? To help protect the well-being of our fellow franchisees. There is information I have learned from sitting on other
boards that could possibly benefit FBS. I also look forward to
being a team player to accomplish any projects for which I have
responsibility.
In your opinion, what is the biggest challenge currently facing
franchisees? Staying ahead of legislation, especially in the wage
arena and putting game plans together to combat it.
In your opinion, what is the most valuable benefit franchisees
receive as members of FBS? Knowledge. The knowledge of the
individuals on this board from both a business and BWW standpoint. From what I heard and witnessed in the Reno meeting, I
truly believe our franchise community would be well-informed
and protected from any possible business threats.
What are three things people would be surprised to learn about
you? My wife and I spent a week’s vacation in Destin, Florida,
with Faith Hill in 1994 and had no idea who she was until the
end of our trip. I was an 11th and 12th grade math teacher out
of college (Sacred Heart University) in Greenwich, Connecticut.
I missed coaching former San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback Steve
Young by one year before joining Marriott Hotels and changing
careers. S
