HOW TO COLOR YOUR WORLD GRATEFUL
Being grateful seems to be the new buzz word about which everyone is talking. I remember the first time I
heard about the power of gratitude; it was two decades ago when Oprah Winfrey shared how she
practiced gratitude on a daily basis. She discussed how she wrote down everything for which she was
grateful in her Journal. She also stated that writing down five things that she was grateful for daily was the
most important thing that she has ever done.
The second time I remember hearing about the power of gratitude was in the hit movie, ?The Secret.? The
principle of gratitude was one of the major principles shared with viewers in that movie. Fortunately, I had
the honor of interviewing Dr. John DeMartini who was one of the featured guests in the movie. On my
show, Dr. DeMartini shared that he had a notebook (3-hole binder) of approximately 10,000 pages where
(over the years) he had written down all of the things that he was grateful for. He stated he would add
pages to that notebook daily and go back and re-read previous pages. His story and practice of gratitude
really motivated me to begin practicing gratitude daily.
Can you really change and color your world gratefully by practicing gratitude? The answer to that
question is a resounding YES! Let?s take a look at some of the powerful principles of gratitude and
determine how you can begin to practice gratitude daily to color your grateful world with beautiful
abundance and purpose.
WHAT IS GRATITUDE?
The word gratitude is derived from the Latin word gratia, which means grace, graciousness, or gratefulness
(depending on the context). In some way, gratitude encompasses all of these meanings. Gratitude is a
thankful appreciation for what an individual receives, whether tangible or intangible. With gratitude,
people acknowledge the goodness in their lives.

The more one chooses to praise and celebrate life; the more there is in life to celebrate.
The single greatest thing a person can do to change their life today would be to start being grateful
for what they have right now. The more grateful a person is, the more they receive.
Apprciating what shows up in our life changes our personal vibration. Gratitude elevates life to a
higher frequency.
If the only prayer said during one's life is "Thank You," it would suffice.
Making a decision to be grateful for the blessings we already have increases and accelerates new
blessings coming our way.
When we in focus on what we have, our ABUNDANCE increases. It can be as simple as starting with
the breath of life we breath every day.

So, for those of you who are practicing The Law of Attraction, what role does gratitude play in the
manifestation of your dreams? Gratitude and the Law of Attraction are the perfect combination. It raises
your vibration, brings you into harmony with the energy of the Universe and shifts your focus from
?scarcity? to ?abundance. The Law of Attraction is a Universal Law which states, ?like attracts like.? Through
your thoughts and feelings, you create your vibration which then begins to manifest your experiences and
your reality. So, practicing gratitude raises your vibration and aligns you with your dreams and desires.
When the energy of your being is vibrating at a high frequency, you are drawing into your life more
