The biggest reason that it?s not generally approved by the medical profession is that Big Pharma still controls the medical industry. They prefer the synthetic drugs vs. Mother Nature because of it's Trillion Dollar Industry that relieves the symptoms, rather than cures the aliment. Here is a little history on why the FDA and Big Pharma wants to outlaw Mother Nature. The cannabis plant was still legal up until the 1930's of the previous century. Both hemp and cannabis were used for many medical and industrial purposes. It is estimated that at least 60% of all medicines in those days contained cannabis, because it helped in so many different ailments. Then, under the influence of lobbyists from the pharmaceutical and paper industry in particular, the US government began a demonization campaign against cannabis which landed the plant at the highest spot of the list of dangerous drugs ("Schedule I"). Although nowadays over 29 individual US states have decriminalized the medical use of cannabis, still the federal government insists that cannabis "has no medical use" at all while many others have experienced great benefits that have cured their issues altogether. Let?s get to the simple facts of Cannabis, Hemp and Hemp Seeds: Both Marijuana (cannabis) and Hemp comes from the same plant. The cannabis is the female which produces the flowering and bud component. Hemp is the male which grows tall stalks that does not flower and can tower up to 20 feet. Regardless of the fact that many people typically use both the words cannabis and hemp interchangeably, there are significant differences between the two. The easy explanation is that Cannabis contains THC which gives people the eurphoric high for a few hours whereas Hemp has trace amounts or no THC and will NOT induce the eurphoric high. Cannabis (marijuana) usually contain about 5-10% THC, and can only be purchased legally in states that allow a medical prescription by a Physican. You can smoke, vape , make tea or cook with it, and you WILL experience a high. CBD (Hemp) Oil can be purchased in all 50 states because it has a trace amount of THC: 0.5-1% (less than 1% THC within the oil) and still has the health benefits although not as powerful as high amount of THC. CBD is usually not detectable if a drug test were to be given. The oil can be used in capsules form, drops, salve, or tincture in syringes. However, unlike whole-plant cannabis oil, hemp seed oil does not contain any active cannabinoids. These cannabinoids are the main compounds found in the cannabis plant that have anti-cancer properties. Thus, hemp seed oil is considered to be more of a dietary supplement than a medicine designed to battle cancer. Patients looking to treat various forms of cancer or other ailments will want to look into whole-plant cannabis oil treatments. Which is bet t er CBD or THC?
