about your father-in-law.

surprise.

you hel p and I am al ways amazed when I l ist en.
My quest ion t oday is regarding my f at her in l aw. He
has had Al zheimer's f or t he past 6 or 7 years and is in
a nursing home. He doesn't recognize anyone and
cannot communicat e at al l . He seems t o be in good
heal t h except f or t he occasional col d or cough. My
mot her-in-l aw, my husband, his brot her and t heir
aunt visit him on a regul ar basis so he sees his f amil y
members but never acknowl edges or recognizes
t hem when t hey are t here.
I woul d l ike t o know what he is t hinking. I wonder if
he misses his grandchil dren, his dog and t he rest of
t he f amil y and if he even knows about his f ourt h
grandchil d, a boy named Cory (my nephew), who was
born af t er he went int o t he nursing home. Al so, I
woul d l ike t o know if t here is anyt hing t hat he needs
t hat he is not get t ing at t he home. Does he have any
