The next time you flip open a magazine to look at a lovely image of a size ? 0 ? bikini with sun-bleached blonde hair frolicking on a beach surrounded by hunky lifeguards , consider NOT slamming the magazine shut in disappointment or disgust but instead ? allow ? that image to remind you to return to your body for a reality check . She , your body , is there to reassure you that your reaction is entirely appropriate to the ? imaginary ? perfection captured in that romantic image to encourage you to purchase their brand of sunscreen or visit their resort , or whatever else they are trying to sell you .
The real ? allowing ? is in the communication with your body . Using this Law of Attraction technique encourages you to stop , pause , and then go forward with a body confidence builder .
Treat Your Body as a Person , not an Object .
All media objectifies the people in it . They create an image designed to promote their message , sell their product , invite comparison between their ideal presentation and your less-than-perfect reality . It ? s that comparison that creates the painful feelings within you by intimidation . Hence , LOA ? s essential technique to remove the negativity : simply shift the comparing to observing or noticing . That reframing keeps it apart from you and your environment , including your body .
A specific Body Knowledge System ® technique eases the reframing when you are confronted by a beautiful , fit , young , model on screen , on the page , or on the billboard . It ? s easy to express yourself to another person if / when you have a reaction to an image . When that person is your BFF , as your body will be after you begin to understand and practice the Body Knowledge System ®. Your potentially negative reaction to the object before your eyes will automatically become a positive appreciation of her personal assets that are the framework ( basis ) of the image projected in front of you . ( yeah !)
Objective Image vs . Living Breathing Beautiful Body
Media imagery is a two dimensional , impersonal , cold , representation of a multi-dimensional , personal , warm , real human being . There is no reason to compare a flat copy to an energetic being , as there can be no comparison !
That flattering image is not capable of attracting anything better into the model ? s life , as there is no energy involved in the presentation . On the other hand , there is energy present when you and your body have a positive , objective reaction to the image you observe , notice .
Clearly , if the image attracted your notice , there is something positive associated with it : beauty , health , life style . That ? s why you and your body ? Allow ? it into your consciousness .
Prior to sliding into the negativity of comparison , hit the ? STOP !? button . Check in with your body , and if she has her own identity , it ? s so much easier to reframe your comparison into a simple observation . Taking notice of the image allows you and your body to create a positive reaction , and therefore attract what you appreciate about her , or something better , into your life .
