We no longer have to wait for this to occur within humanity through centuries and millennia of evolutionary adaptation within our species . We can now exchange ? adaptation ? for the much more rapid --- the unbelievably rapid --- process of ? imitation .? When imitation replaces adaptation as our evolutionary driver , we can achieve Critical Mass and
Species-wide transmogrification by non-genetic means within years and decades , not centuries and millennia .
So the way for us to move ahead right now in our evolution is for each of us to self-select . To say : " I am going be one of those who wishes to send a message of Who We Really Are to everyone whose life I touch , creating a ripple-in-the-water effect .?
Don ' t think that it doesn ' t already have an impact , because it does . The only question is not whether ordinary people can do that . The question is " What shall be the idea that drives them forward ?" What shall be the understandings that are now being embraced by humanity , collectively ?
Is it possible that there ' s something we don ' t fully understand here about God and about life and about ourselves ... the understanding of which would change everything ? That ' s the question of the hour . That ' s the question of the day . So if you are wondering what direction we should now be going , I would say that the direction that humanity is now invited to go is in the direction of answering that question .
Is there something we don ' t fully understand here about God and about life , the understanding of which could change everything ? If there is , what is it , and what does it look like to embody it , to embrace it , to be an exemplar of that new idea ?
Every spiritual master who has walked the face of the earth has answered that question with the living of their own life . We now have an opportunity to do that . All of us . By simply saying ? I self-select .?

NDW : I don ' t think it ' s a coincidence that the great celebration of Catholic Christian spirituality is called ? the mass .? People go to Mass every Sunday because there is a certain level of understanding in all the world ' s great religions that the spiritual transformation of a species is about reaching Critical Mass .
By the way , let me make it perfectly clear that I , Neale Donald Walsch , the transcriber of Conversations with God , do not say that religions are ? doing it all wrong .? As a matter of fact , quite the opposite . A great deal of what religions are telling us , for centuries , is in fact right on the money . The challenges are that many of the religions are simply incomplete . That is , the data they are offering us are simply not complete .
We ' ve stopped ourselves from the process of expanding and embracing more of what we are . In that sense , if I could use an analogy , we are like children who have learned the basics of arithmetic : how to add and subtract ... and we think that ' s all there is to mathematics . But guess what ? There ' s algebra and geometry and trigonometry and higher mathematics and more and more and more . But we think that because we know the basic elements of spirituality and Ultimate Reality that this is all there is to know about God and Life and Who We are and Why We ' re Here . We ' re not ? wrong ? in what we know ... we ' re simply incomplete . Religions are not wrong in what they ' re teaching us , they ' re simply incomplete .
Jewels : May I ask a question about that , because religions are tending to fight each other right now . How can we get beyond that ?
NDW : By changing the thoughts that undergird and support the foundation of all of the world ' s great religions . We can do that by creating Critical Mass around a New Idea .
Let me tell you what that New Idea is right now .
No one in our world ' s great religions seems to want to challenge the idea of separation . We ' ve embraced what I call a Separation Theology . Conversations with God made this very clear to me . It said : ? Neale , the problem is that humanity has embraced and fully adopted a separation theology .?
Now a separation theology is a theology that says God is ? over there ? and we are ? over here ,? and never the ? twain shall
