To embarrass myself in an ill-fitting ?fat? dress. Step 2: Pulled up the pictures of the dress the last time I wore it on my cell. Remembering all the admiring looks I received as well as the compliments from friends and especially, my husband. Smile, giggle, and---then, I glanced at myself flowing out of the half-dress like a mushroom. OUCH! Step 3: That reflection erased any possibility of ?allowing? from my mind, replacing it with every limiting belief I had ever had around my body: you?re too fat, you?re too old, you?re hopeless, helpless, and powerless. ?Conf idence is t he sexiest t hing a woman can have.? Aimee Mul l ins, 2004 With the addition of my knowledge of my body applied to the Law of Attraction, I arrived at the event feeling every inch of body confidence I had in last year?s picture. Appearance is al l about conf idence, beginning wit h body conf idence t hat comes f rom wit hin regardl ess of t he size or t he age of t he body. Step 3: My faith in my body allowed the confidence to flow back into my body. As creator of Body Knowledge System, I know what works to eliminate any limiting belief around my body. My husband zipped up the dress with ease the evening of the event, and we had a very good time at the event. The Law of Attraction works when there is no emotional attachment to the object of your desires. However, as soon as the desired outcome becomes personal, the space between Steps 1,2 and 3 at times is insurmountable---without some help from another positive practice that involves the entire you, not just your mind. When what you want (Step 1) creates an emotional (physical) reaction, the time has come to ask your body for a solution. The open communication between you and your body is the basis for Body Confidence. Your body?s wisdom always provides the right answer! Learn her language, and then listen for her reply.
