invite my authentic self/ my Higher Self/ my soul/ the Universe to show me what it?s like to experience . . .? (Another powerful formulation, shared with me by a colleague, Stephanie Leivas, is to say, ?I wonder what it would be like to . . . .?) Choose whichever formulation you resonate with the most, and fill in the blank with a request for an experience, an object, etc. The use of the word invite is important because it signals that you are making a request that is open and receptive, and it conveys a sense of collaboration, of working together. It is not a demand or an order, nor is it rooted in a sense of scarcity or need. Your authentic self knows what?s best for you, so the more open the request is, the more room you give it to work with that request. Play with the level of specificity. You could try something like, ?I invite my authentic self to manifest an opportunity that uses all of my creative faculties in new ways,? or ?I wonder what it would be like to experience an aspect of my soul that I am not even aware of and would be delighted to discover.? Now you?re opening up to infinite possibilities! Notice how much more room you give your authentic self to play with these manifestations. By inviting possibilities you had not contemplated, an opportunity you could never have imagined is able to show up. It just might turn out to be one of the most enlivening experiences ever! I Invite My Authentic Self to... The Power of Wonder Once the invitation is made, the next step is to imagine the outcome, through creative visualization, in a way that produces feelings of wonder. Wonder is exceptionally powerful because it is an opening to imagination. To wonder is to open to and be curious about possibilities not previously contemplated or experienced. To wonder also captures the sense of awe, marvel, and excitement when those possibilities begin to show up. This combination of openness and excitement is powerful because it fundamentally alters your relationship to the world around you. You are no longer looking at the world through the eyes of lack, impatience, or dissatisfaction. The imagination and awe contained in wonder moves you from a place of scarcity and fear to one of infinite, magical possibilities. The next step is to maintain your focus on the feeling of wonder. As many readers know, the Law of Attraction places a great deal of emphasis on focusing on the specific object or goal that you wish to manifest. Here, too, focus is important. You need to focus on relating to the experience of wonder. Do not hold tight to the images themselves, as if those were what you needed your authentic self to manifest for you. Your focus is on the feelings that the images generate. Those feelings are what allows you to function like a tuning fork, so that your authentic self can draw those experiences to you. On a daily basis, take time to contemplate and visualize these images and remain steeped in the feeling of wonder. Carry that feeling with you as you go about your day, and see the world through that newfound energy. As new experiences and opportunities, arise, deepen your sense of wonder at what your authentic self is manifesting for you. Cultivating Wonder For many people, the experience of wonder? the combination of curiosity and awe? is not always easy Page 23 - April , 2017
