GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

As a result of their hard
work and dedication, the
volleyball team had an amazing
season. They conditioned in
the summer five days a week,
for four hours a day. During the
school year they trained even
harder, practicing six days a
week for nearly three hours a
day. The team consisted of 17
hard-working players. Team
captains, Carolina Caram and
Sophia Sires led the team as
well as help them reach their
full potential, which resulted
in several team wins. Volleyball
senior night, which takes place
during the last home game of
the year, was held on October
16th. It is dedicated to the
seniors on the team because it
is the last game they will ever
play at Saint Brendan High
School. “You’re always very
sad to see players go but I am
happy that they are growing,
that is the most important
thing,” said Coach Julio Arnaiz.
The whole gym was decorated
with signs for seniors, Genesis
Cabanzon and Raquel Murrillo.
Before the game started, they
were each called into the gym
to receive gifts from their
teammates. “It was sad but
exciting at the same time,” said
Genesis. To top it all off, Saint
Brendan won the game against
American Heritage. “They were
focused. We did what we had
to do, and that is why we won
in three,” says Coach Arnaiz.

and girls teams! According to many
players, everything has been going
very smoothly. We are all hoping to
see an amazing result from the players
here at Saint Brendan, and we know we
will because these soccer players have
been preparing by conditioning, which
strongly helped. The girls varsity soccer
