What’s happening with your sales tax money
New Life for Fire Trucks

water as Rockdale County Fire-Rescue
ceremonially welcomed four new fire trucks
Monday. The trucks, purchased with SPLOST
penny-sales tax funds, will replace four of the
oldest fire units. RCFR also ceremonially washed
a unit donated to Rockdale Career Academy
for students working toward certification as
firefighters through a partnership between
RCFR, the Career Academy and Georgia
Piedmont Technical College. RCFR will be posting
for new firefighter jobs soon at rockdalecounty.
org and RCA is taking student applications for the
firefighter certification program.
