Christmas is fast approaching and Stewarton
Drama Group are delighted to announce that
their 42nd annual pantomime will be ‘Calamity
Jeannie’, written by Nancy McPherson and
directed by David Robertson.
The colourful show will be presented in the
theatre in the Stewarton Area Centre at
7.30pm on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th
December with TWO matinee performances at
12.00pm and 4.00pm on Saturday 12th.
This year’s show has something for everyone
and features a wonderful selection of traditional
panto characters guaranteed to keep the
audience entertained.
This year’s panto hero Luke Good (Alison
Barr) will need to have his wits about him as
he endeavours to fight off baddie Stud Poker
(Walter Findlay) who runs Stodge City,
unhindered by the hapless Sheriff Wild Bill
Hiccup (Craig McLaughan). Luke Good is
continually thwarted in his pursuit of his true
love, Tammy Wincyette (Laura Raeside), who
just happens to be Stud Poker’s daughter.
Helping Luke to save the day are his mother,
the hilarious panto dame Calamity Jeannie
( Johnnie McPherson), his hillbilly brother
Notso Good (Gavin Cook) and Annie Boakley
(Melissa McCluskey) who has amorous designs
on Notso!
Lots of laughs are guaranteed courtesy of the
comedy escapades of the two cowboys, Tex
