There has been various events organised to help the fund including a 'dress as you please' day at Nether Robertland Primary, a couple of music and cabaret events, a sponsored walk and a bag packing weekend at Sainsbury's. Nether Robertland also donated the proceeds of their gala day raffle and lots of money was raised through collection tins in various shops throughout the town. This has all been achieved with just four members so the team are seeking more people to join the committee. Donna says, 'It has been a lot of hard work but totally worth it!' If you like to join the committee please email: [email protected] If you would like to make a donation please get in touch or you can pay directly into the Stewarton Christmas Lights fundraising committee account: Sort code 80-22-60 Account 13628865 Bank of Scotland The team had an initial target of £7,500 to buy 27 lights which has now been exceeded with donations still coming in. There will be 28 lights going up throughout the town from Lainshaw Street, Main Street, High Street, Rigg Street, Vennel and Avenue Square. The committee hope to continue fundraising next year and extend their display to include cross street displays and a focal Christmas tree. The lights will be on for the Yuletide night on Thursday 3rd December. Donna adds, 'We have been totally overwhelmed at all the public support and donations received. We hope you will all enjoy the town's first Christmas display in over 8 years and we wish everyone and their families and Merry Christmas and look forward to a fantastic new year.' t h a n k s to t h e fo llow i n g w h o h av e g en er o u s ly d on at e d to t h e fun d ... c o b b les h o p b l ac k wo o d s p la n t h i r e b i lly b owie t h e c h i p b o x li m e t r ee jw g r a n t s st e v e n n a i s m i t h b a r 51 c o r se h i l l d e n ta l c h a r lie's p i o li s s t e wa rto n wh en w e w er e gr ow i n g u p f b pag e a lb a t y r es w m a l l a n a n d s o n s b u tc h er s la i n sh aw l i o n s m lp g o m i lli k en ac c o u n ta n t s s t e wa rto n ca b s loc h av e n m i l l zum b a w i t h n i c o le st e wa rto n b o n n e t gui ld n e t h e r r o b e rt l a n d p r i m a ry s c h o o l gli d d e n & gr a h a m s wee t m o m e n t s pa st & p r es en t s a i n s b ury st e wa rto n c o - o p er at i v e s t e wa rto n t h e s o c i a l c lub h ea d q ua rt e r s n e t h er gat e la r d er so lu t i o n s o n d em a n d b lo o m i n g wa l e s b l a i r s ga r age s en jo k a i k a r at e f i r st i n d ep en d en t fi n a n c e u p dat e b o u t i q ue b ella d i c k so n j oi n e ry d i c k s o n s c h o o l o f m oto r i n g ellie's k i d s w ea r a n n i c k a rt r s m c c o ll k m f h a i r s e l ec t p r o p e rt y o d o ur & d u s t s o lu t i o n s g r o o m r o o m fo o d wi n e s to r e a r m oi r e s t e wa rto n a r m s h a rt & so l e t h a n k s a ls o to m a n y i n d i v i d ua ls wh o d o n at e d r af f l e p r i zes a n d t h e fo llowi n g b u s i n es s es ... m a n n a b a k e ry b li n g ca n dy c h a s e g r a n a ry r uby 's a n i m a l m ag i c s p ec i a l ly fo r yo u s a i n s b ury c o - o p e r at i v e t h e c h i p b o x s o c i a l c lu b fac to ry s h o p b ella s w ee t m o m e n t s a n n i c k a rt .
