We were at Eglinton Country Park and were able to use the Rackets Hall for lunch and games. Church members helped Sainsbury’s customers pack their shopping and offerings were taken at church services. Christian Aid raises money to tackle the effects of poverty as well as its root causes. Last year, 20,000 churches across the country helped raise £12m for Christian Aid Week. Thanks to these efforts, many more people can look forward to a future free from poverty. lig h t part y John Knox was filled with children for this year’s light party, a light, bright alternative to Halloween. There was fancy dress and older children came in their onesies. Roy and Ally from our Fit For A King Summer holiday club welcomed the children and there was a bouncy castle, music, crafts, hot dogs and ice cream!
