if you go down to
the woods today...
Monkey FACE recently ran a social event inspired by the movie ‘The Rise of the
Guardians’. They staged a woodland Easter egg hunt in the beautiful Lainshaw
Woods where their characters were hiding. The children had to solve each clue to find
the characters that would lead them back to the centre in the hunt for the missing
eggs. The children also enjoyed a picnic lunch and a professional magic show by Gary
Dunn. Children and adults commented that they had a fun time!
Their next Social Event will be held during the summer holidays and more will run
throughout the year for all the family.
about monkey face
Over eight years ago Gills McDaniel set up a children's activity class in Stewarton,
called Artys. The classes grew, and due to this, Artys moved to bigger premises at the
Area Centre in Stewarton. An extra day was added and then along came Monkey
Madness, a supervised class for three to eight year-olds involving music and movement.
Now they have taken up residence in The Centre located at Standalane in Stewarton.
This allows them more space to offer new services to the local community, which they
say is at the heart of their business. This is incorporated in their name MONKEY
F.A.C.E - Family Activity Centre for Everyone. Offering families or adults and
children to get involved in activities promoting fitness, health and fun.
Monkey Face are open two days a week, Monday and Thursdays from 9am to 5pm
with a variety of classes running on both days.
