Stewarton is Energised for the new Season
Stewarton Annick Football Club (SAFC) recently applied for and were
awarded support from the EDF Energy - Community Investment
Fund. SAFC raised half the funds through local sponsored events,
which was matched by EDF Energy, enabling the club to purchase a set
of new strips for the 2006 (under elevens) players.
The new strips have already been put to good use by the players during
the start of the 2017 West of Scotland Youth Football 7-a-side league.
John McDowell (pictured on the left) said, ‘The future success of youth
football clubs is built on the foundations of support from the local
children, their families and the coaches, but especially important is the
valuable support offered by companies like EDF Energy, to help meet
the ongoing work of providing young people with a positive community
based activity.’

Meet Jay Proprietor of Cowans Law.
Jay has been involved in Clay Shooting
since 1982, she represented Scotland and
was a team member in 89, 90, 91, 92, 93,
94, 95. Jay was the first lady in Britan to
shoot the ultimate score 100/300 at Bywell
Shooting Ground in Northumberland, hitting
100 first Barrel targets.

Cowans Law Country Sports has been successfully
developed and expanded over thirty years by
dedicated proprietor Jay Steel. One vision was
to build a five-acre fly fishery. This is filled with the
largest rainbow and tiger trout in Scotland. Cowans
