John Knox Church News Round Up ...

sheep trail

Well done to our Christmas sheep trail winner Theo ( pictured with minister Gavin Niven ) and runners up Louise and Isla ! A big thank ‘ ewe ’ to everyone who joined the hunt for the lost sheep and all the Stewarton shops and businesses who took part . There was a huge turn-out to the Bethlehem Experience on Yuletide night and it was fabulous to see the church buzzing and so many members of the community enjoying our annual community nativity .

courses

It ’ s been a busy start to the year with a new job club and money course running . If you are interested in being part of a job club or would like to attend a future money course please email graham @ johnknox . org . uk .

roof repairs

There has been a great response to our buy-a-slate appeal with more than £ 5,000 so far received from kind-hearted members of the community keen to invest in what is not only a historical landmark but a base from which to serve the people of Stewarton . Thank you ! We need to raise £ 30,000 and hope to secure grant funding for half that amount so we ’ re still looking to raise £ 10,000 in donations from individuals and businesses . sundays

A warm friendly welcome is guaranteed when people of all ages and walks of life gather for worship .

In January we started a trial of a new service format with Gathering Praise at 11am led by the band followed by Round the Word starting at 11.15am which includes a children ’ s message before the children and youth go out to their own groups . Closing Praise from 12.15 - 12.30pm has hymns led by our choir . Please feel free to join us at 11 or 11.15am and leave at 12.15 or 12.30pm as you prefer .

cottage drop-in centre

The Cottage behind the church is open Monday to Friday 10am till 12 noon for tea and coffee and is a great place to meet new friends . Pop in for a blether !

cycle club

Enjoy relaxed , friendly cycling every Monday meeting at the Cottage at 9.30am .

get crafty

Craft Corner meets on Mondays in the Cottage at 10.30am . Bring your own craft work and join in . find peace

Need some quiet ? The church sanctuary is open every Tuesday from 10.30am - 12.30pm . Take some time out of the busyness and come and find peace .

jk baby and toddler group

Fun and laughter for wee ones , parents and carers on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 9.30 till 11.15am in the hall with coffee and chat !

EASTER EGG TIME ! stewarton churches are getting together to celebrate easter on sunday 16 april at 8.30am on the town ' s gameshill . there will be prizes for the best decorated egg and rolling of eggs for children too . everyone is welcome !
