Stewarton Girls Raise Cash to Fight Cancer!
Melanie Clark (age 11), pupil of Lainshaw Primary
and Eve Thomson (age 11) pupil of Nether Robertland
Primary are best friends from Stewarton and were inspired
to hold a coffee morning and raise money for MacMillan
Cancer Support, as part of their 'World's Biggest Coffee
Morning' campaign. Although this is normally held on
the 30th September, the girls couldn't wait that long so
decided to hold it early!
The girls invited 50 of their friends and family and held the coffee
morning in Melanie's house on Saturday 28th May.
It was a great success and with a raffle, 'guess the sweets in the jar' and
pictures for sale they raised an amazing £530. Melanie and Eve's parents
were overwhelmed by everyone's generosity and help on the day.
Melanie's mum Shiralee said, "Myself and Suzanne are two very proud
mums. I think this proves if everyone did a little it really means a lot and
can make such a difference."

Having a Coffee Morning is the perfect chance to catch up over a cuppa
and a slice of something delicious for a great cause. One in three of us
will face cancer, and the money you raise at your Coffee Morning will
help us make sure no one has to face it alone.

Facebook.

raffles on your Coffee Morning.
