senjokai karate academy course and grading
Over 80 members of the Ayrshire based “ Senjokai Karate Academy ” took part in an exciting day of karate training with some top international level instructors . Hosted at Stewarton Sports Centre the day included “ Kata ” ( forms ) training , Kumite ( sparring ) tactics and Kihon ( fundamental techniques ) Beginners all the way to black belt trained together for 3 solid hours creating a superb atmosphere enjoyed by everyone . The children in particular loved learning from these experienced and dynamic instructors . This fantastic and fun packed course was followed by the more serious belt test ( or grading ). As well as effort and technique , a high standard of etiquette is required . Something you would expect from Japanese
Karate , and the Senjokai members did not disappoint . Regardless of age , they stood up and showed their skills repeatedly impressing the guest instructors .
