be nearing the end: 23,000 miles are just up the road and
there are only ten more weeks of 5am starts to endure.
It’s been an epic journey, but one during which around 275
children will have been diagnosed with the disease in the UK,
of which roughly half will not make it. The remainder will enjoy
a quality of life constrained by the side effects of adult strain
