Mark Van Benschoten (Dublin) participated in the Ohio Association of Nonprofit Organizations’ Foundation Series, where he shared
financial policy best practices for nonprofit organizations. He was
also a guest lecturer on the topic of nonprofit management at The
Ohio State University’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs.
Mindee Johnson (New Philadelphia) and Anita Martin (Medina)
spoke on GASB Statement No. 60 at the Ohio Government Finance
Officials Association’s annual conference.
Gene Spittle (Wooster) participated in a roundtable discussion for Wayne
County Manufacturers Roundtable, a program of the Wayne County Economic Development Council. The panel discussed how Wayne County
manufacturers have adopted and embraced Lean Six Sigma.

Zac Morris (Millersburg) presented on capital assets to ATLAS 2015,
a leadership and school improvement-focused program for treasurers
and business managers of school districts. ATLAS 2015 is sponsored
by Ashland University. Zac also participated on a national panel representing the Independent Provider Association oversight for Ohio’s Medicaid School program. This panel was part of the National Alliance for
Medicaid in Education’s annual conference in Washington, D.C.
Industry & Community Involvement
Jordan Miller (Millersburg) joined the Holmes County District Public
Library board.
Kevin Bill (Lima) is the new treasurer for the Lima Rotary Club. He is
also on the board of the Wapakoneta Optimist Club.
Gene Spittle was recently appointed chair-elect of the Wayne County Development Council. Gene will take over as chair in 2016. He
has also been appointed as the chair of the Wayne County Children
Services Board finance committee for 2015 and 2016.
Chad Bice (Zanesville) was elected to the board of the Muskingum
County Business Incubator.
Accomplishments & Recognition
Rea was named Business Partner of the Year by ViaQuest, Inc.
Mike Taylor (Millersburg) received the Lifetime Achievement Award
at the annual Holmes County Chamber Awards dinner.
