ED AHERN resumed writing after forty-odd years in foreign intelligence and international sales . He has his original wife , but advises that after forty-nine years they are both out of warranty . Ed ' s had a hundred and forty poems and stories published so far , and three books . He ' s currently cobbling together a poetry chapbook , and is halfway through the first draft of a paranormal / thriller novel .
MAIA LYNN ANDERSON currently attends Oberlin College , Ohio in pursuit of a Creative Writing degree . Ne dwells largely in fantasy , and takes great delight in bringing the absurd and strange worlds ne inhabits to life on the page . Maia lives with nir three younger brothers in sunny California when ne is not suffering through the Ohio winter and thanks nir partner for letting nem ramble for hours about nir latest story . Maia considers it one of the greatest wonders in the universe that writing can allow two separate minds to connect and share , for however brief a time , and would like to offer an invitation to the world inside nir head .
GINNY LOWE CONNORS is the author of three poetry collections : The Unparalleled Beauty of a Crooked Line , Barbarians in the Kitchen , and most recently , Toward the Hanging Tree : Poems of Salem Village . Her chapbook , Under the Porch , won the Sunken Garden Poetry Prize . In addition , she has edited several poetry anthologies . She served as the Poet Laureate of West Hartford , Connecticut from 2013-2015 . Connors also runs a small poetry press , Grayson Books .
DREW S . COOK is a native of the hills of western Arkansas , and his poems are often influenced by the sights and sounds of its landscapes . He is in his second year of the University of Central Arkansas ' s MFA program , and serves as the poetry editor of Arkana , a new literary journal of mysteries and marginalized voices .
