BRETT’S LETTER Letter from the President Many special days and holidays have been and will be observed in the weeks and months ahead, such as Nurses Week, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day—just to name a few. While each of these days present the opportunity for us to honor and thank those being recognized, I am particularly excited about a celebration that is especially meaningful to TEAMPROVIDENCE. National Hospital Week was May 11 – 17. This week celebrated hospitals and the women and men who are dedicated to transforming the health of individuals and communities. While there are many parts of our organization that are recognized during specific days or weeks, National Hospital Week is a celebration of us— TEAMPROVIDENCE. To commemorate this week, all associates were offered a free TEAMPROVIDENCE t-shirt to wear in celebration of TEAMPROVIDENCE Day on Friday, May 16, or Saturday, May 17 for our Weekend Warriors. On May 17, we descended upon Cameron Park Zoo for our annual associate picnic and our Weekend Warriors received a free lunch from the InProv Grille. I enjoyed celebrating with each and every one of you during National Hospital week and was delighted to see hundreds of TEAMPROVIDENCE shirts in our halls and at the picnic. Click here for photos of this great celebration! Thank you to all our physicians, associates and volunteers for your unwavering dedication to quality and your compassionate care of our patients. Through coordination with your colleagues, you are part of our commitment to provide person-centered care across our broad continuum of services. You are what makes Providence such a special place. You are TEAMPROVIDENCE. Brett Esrock, President and CEO Providence Healthcare Network A Small Gift of Green Creates Big Smiles at Providence Park Our Environmental Services team put smiles on Providence Park resident’s faces by surprising them with green flowers in recognition of St. Patrick’s Day. Green flowers also adorned tables in the resident dining areas. Click Here for more photos! 2 • The Pulse of Providence
