Every year, almost 250,000 people experience
a STEMI (ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction) heart
attack. Unfortunately, a significant number don’t
receive prompt reperfusion therapy, which is critical
in restoring blood flow. Our Chest Pain Center is
committed to providing quality care to all heart attack
patients. The American Heart Association recognized
our commitment and success in implementing a higher
standard of care for STEMI patients and the Mission:
Lifeline Bronze Quality Achievement Award indicates
that we are achieving and even surpassing our goals
for being one of Texas’ finest chest pain centers.
Providence earned this award in 2012 and 2013 as well.
