“Dinner, really Connor it’s almost 3 o'clock”, I chuckled.

“Early lunch then,” he smiled, putting a loose hair I forgot to include in my messy ponytail behind my ear.

“Okay,” I answered.

He kissed me once on the lips, picked me up and took me to his car. He placed me in the front seat and shut the door for me.

“There's a Chinese place just around the corner that just opened up, I really think we should try it together.”

“I do like Chinese,” I told him as we pulled into the parking lot.

We got in the restaurant and ordered our food and waited patiently. There weren’t as many people as I thought there’d be. But the tiny building was just behind the school so maybe no one knew about it yet.

The waiter brought us our food, along with two fortune cookies.

“Excuse me, sir we didn't ask for these,” I mentioned to him.

“No, but they were from that gentleman over-” he pointed at an empty seat, and a slowly closing door.

“Hmm. I guess the person was in a hurry,” he chuckled. I turned to look at Connor who was already digging into his food.

“That was a little strange, don't you think?” I asked as I began to eat my meal. Connor stopped and looked around, now that the other person left we were the only two in the restaurant. “Hmm..” He said. I brushed the thought of the strange incident away from me. Soon, Connor was finished with his food, and so was I. He grabbed a fortune cookie and began to unwrap it.
