Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary
T he
Reverend Mother General and
three sisters of the “Sorelle minori di San
Francesco” (Minor Sisters of St Francis), who have
sisters in Italy and Colombia, are in Birmingham for
a month exploring with the Diocese the possibility
of establishing a foundation here. The Sisters of the
Blessed Virgin Mary have been asked to help by having
the Italian sisters to stay in their monastery. It is a
happy union in Christ of the daughters of St Francis
and St Benedict.

of Our Lady of Walsingham: Solemn High Mass
and Procession in the presence of The Rt Revd
Cuthbert Brogan OSB, Abbot of St Michael’s
Abbey, Farnborough.
Music: Byrd Four Part Mass. Homily: Fr John
Saward. The statue of the Immaculate Heart of
Mary will be blessed by the Abbot of Farnborough
during the Mass. Refreshments will be served after
the Mass.
