THE P RTAL September 2016 Page 18 A New Prayer Initiative from World Youth Day Sister Camilla of the Community of Our Lady of Walsingham The vigil with Pope Francis at World Youth Day in Krakow ended with a hymn to Our Lady of Czestochowa. It has been a tradition of the Polish people to sing this hymn at 9pm every evening, thereby uniting all Poles in their faith and helping them sustain a culture that produced great saints like St Faustina and St John Paul II. This really touched several of the young people As a fruit of WYD 2016, this initiative will be attending WYD. Countries like Poland and Italy sustained by seven pillars: produce saints by the handful.
