THE P RTAL October 2015 He was followed by Chris Smith (below) who wowed the assembled company with the story of the Most Precious Blood, London Bridge. Finally, Fr Neil Chatfield (below told us of the plans to take some young people to the World Youth Day with Pope Francis in Poland next year. Each place costs £500. It was later announced that if people would care to send cash to subsidise this cost, they could do so via the Ordinariate website Donation page or through The Portal - see page 17. We all walked round to the Cathedral for the Mass, celebrated for the first time in this building according to  Divine Worship. Archbishop di Nioa was the principal celebrant. He was joined by many Ordinariate priests and a large congregation. In his homily he drew a parallel with the foundation of the Ordinariates and our personal lives. If we wait until we are ready, we shall never do anything! contents page Page 8 After lunch, Archbishop Di Nioa (right) spoke about the foundation of the Ordinariates and our mission. You may hear his talk, and indeed all the talks given on Saturday on the Ordinariate web site. The day concluded with Mgr Keith Newton (below right) giving his charge, and sending us home enthused for this mission. One feature this year was a stall selling various bits and pieces. These included Ordinariate Mugs, cuff-links and a splendid calendar produced jointly by LOGS and The Portal. These sell at £5. Details of how to obtain your calendar are to found on The Portal web site www. portalmag.co.uk. On Sunday many of us went to Mass at Warwick Street where the music was lovely and the mass beautiful. Afterwards there were refreshments, and before long it was time to leave. This year’s Festival was, if anything, even better than last year’s, and that was wonderful and inspirational. The date for next year’ Festival is Saturday 24th September 2016. That is the Solemnity of Our Lady of Walsingham. I wonder what the organising committee will have in store for us on that wonderful day? Photos: Eric Pittuck
