News from the Ordinariate
Epiphany at MPB
O n 7th
January 2018 the founder members of
the London (South) Ordinariate group gathered
alongside and those who have joined the growing
Parish of the Most Precious Blood to celebrate the
Epiphany and the fifth anniversary of the Parish being
placed in the care of the Ordinariate. MPB was the
first parish to be placed in the care of the Ordinariate
under the terms of a contract and was followed a little
while later by the Church in Warwick Street.
Monsignor Newton joined members of the
Ordinariate for a celebratory lunch afterwards
and expressed his appreciation for the energy and
enthusiasm which Fr Christopher and members of
the group had put into the Ordinariate project. This
collaboration with the Archdiocese shows what can be
achieved when the Ordinariate is entrusted with the
care of a parish and given the freedom to develop a
distinctive ministry which is both fully Catholic and
true to the vision of Pope Benedict XVI.
