I’ve been quiet for a couple of years now, but
Geoffrey Kirk’s January column deserves a response.
Mr Kirk, now that you are fully a Roman Catholic,
you must set aside a “them and us”mentality. Bishopelect Lopes is indeed one of the Ordinariate in the
best sense. As a convert of more than half a century,
I am, too, although I doubt thatI will ever formally
belong to an Ordinariate group.
To be Catholic is to be inclusive in a proper sense;
with the Pope and the Bishops in union with Rome
and with all the faithful who also have that sense
conveyed in Lumen gentium. (No doubt there
