Retreat for Lay People
From 4pm on Friday 10th March 2017 until after lunch on Sunday 12th March 2017 the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham will hold a Retreat for Lay People at The Dowry House Retreat Centre , High Street , Walsingham , Norfolk .
For those who know Walsingham The Dowry House is opposite the Priory ( or as frequently but incorrectly called Abbey ) gates ’ in the High Street , Walsingham .
The Cost ( Full Board ) will be £ 150 per person and

Christmas Carol Service 2016
There will be a Christmas Carol Service on Sunday December 18th starting at 4pm in the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary , Old Harlow .
In 2015 the Choir and Organist had rehearsed all they could , the readings were all prepared and everyone and everything was ready to go . Mulled wine and mince pies awaited heating . That morning they were told there was no electricity in church , with only a small chance that it would be on again that day . They decided that ‘ the show must go on ’.
As they arrived at church the Electricity workmen were still digging . No matter , plenty of candles were set up and handed round , so that the whole service could be done by candle light . The choir sung a cappella and the readings were read by candle light .
All was well supported by local parishioners as well as Ordinariate members . Everybody enjoyed the preheated mulled wine which had been kept hot in a cool box ! It was drunk with mince pies after the service .
