Dear Sir,
I have read every edition of The Portal and find
that it keeps me in touch with the Ordinariate groups
around the country and how they are getting on. I
read with interest the articles about these groups and
their activities.
One thing bothers me though. What plans are these
Ordinariate Groups making for growth? Most of
them seem to be relying on an influx of disaffected
Anglicans joining the Ordinariate and swelling
the numbers. Such a policy for growth smacks of
opportunism at best and underhandedness at worst.
Surely the Ordinariate ought to be developing a
real strategy for growth based on lapsed Anglicans
and Catholics, not to mention those of no church
affiliation at all?
Perhaps The Portal can assist these groups in
their quest for a rational and dynamic programme for
evangelisation in the dark corners of our country?
