International Eucharistic Congress 2012 (or the SOth International Eucharistic
Congress) was set up in response to the invitation from Pope Benedict XVI that the
Archdiocese of Dublin would host the next International Eucharistic Congress, on
behalf of the whole Irish Catholic Church
A Eucharistic Congress i an international gathering of people which aims to
promote an awareness of the central place of the Eucharist in the life and mission
of the Catholic Church> to help improve our understanding and celebration of the
liturgy and to draw attention to the social dimension of the Eucharist.
