T he P ortal talks to Hayley
In this
series of articles, I have met many ordinary
Ordinariate members who do extra-ordinary things. Most
of them have no idea just how extra-ordinary they are.
Meeting them is always a real joy and privilege. Hayley is
my first Ordinariate “clergy wife”. We had a lovely lunch
with her husband and family before sitting down to chat in
their front room.

at the National Gallery
Why is she included in this series you ask? As well as
being a clergy wife and mother to three young children,
she is also Assistant Restorer at the National Gallery.
Restoring paintings has always been something that
would terrify me. What does it involve? “This means”,
she told me, “I work on paintings at the National
Gallery; cleaning and restoring. I love paintings and
did Art at “A” Level.”
