The 2nd Annual Old City Classic
Charity Golf Tournament, sponsored by
Pycraft Law, to benefit St. John’s Legal
Aid was held Tuesday, Sept. 29 at the
Slammer & Squire at World Golf Village.
The charity event turned out to be an
unusually good day for the golfers participating.
Megan Wall, the manager of St Johns
County Legal Aid said the proceeds
from the event would be used to provide civil legal services for the poor, the
elderly and the disabled who cannot afford legal counsel.
“Tom Pycraft, the originator and driving force behind this event, and his staff
of attorneys do the most pro bono work
in town. Tom gives his time, his talent
and his treasure—he’s our hero,” said
Wall.
After the tournament a celebratory
awards dinner including a silent auction
and wine pull was held at the Raintree
Restaurant. During the reception attendees were delighted to witness the
swearing in of new attorney Teira Henry, Esq by Judge Howard O. McGillin, Jr
of the Seventh Judicial Court
Sponsors of the tournament and dinner included The Raintree Restaurant,
