Community News 37 Ponte Vedra Recorder · September 10, 2015 SHORT TAKES Wellness Fair at PV Wellness Center For the second year in a row, Ponte Vedra Wellness Center will be hosting a Wellness Fair, free and open to the community on Thursday, Sept. 10 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. The party will include food, music and more than a dozen local wellness and care providers. The event will be held outside at their office, located at the First Atlantic Bank building on the corner of A1A and Palm Valley Rd. (100 Corridor Rd. S.). For more information, call (904) 273-2691. Pete’s Turn Golf Tournament A golf tournament in honor of Pete Rodrigues will be hosted at the Atlantic Beach Country Club on Sept. 11 at 9 a.m. Proceeds will go to “Pete’s Turn,” a donation-driven project to create a memorial building for Rodrigues at the Atlantic Beach Country Club. Cost to participate in the net scramble format is $150 per ABCC member, $200 for ABCC guests and $1,250 for non-member foursomes. The cost includes golf play, a tee prize and appetizers after play. Pete’s Turn Sunset Celebration Join the community in raising funds for “Pete’s Turn,” a donation-driven project to create a memorial building for Pete Rodrigues at the Atlantic Beach Country Club. The event will include a silent and live auction. The event will be hosted from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and is $35 per person (members and guests welcomed). The evening will include live music, hors d’oeuvres, two complimentary beer or wine tickets and a cash bar. Cocktail attire is requested. Clean Water Music Fest returns to PV Concert Hall The fourth annual Clean Water Music Fest will be hosted at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Sept. 26 by Flagshift Romance, a nationally touring alternative folk duo based in Jacksonville Beach. All proceeds from the festival go directly to the charity:water organization, Since 2012, the CWMF has raised over $90,000 and all funds have gone to provide safe, clean drinking water for communities in Ethiopia, Rwanda, Mali and Niger. The event runs from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will include local, regional and national talent on two stages, outdoor activities, a vendors market, food trucks and a silent auction.
