A Ponte Vedra Club member of 25 years, Bob is survived by wife Vicki Wittmaekers, son and daughter-in-law Steve and WITTMAEKERS Melissa Farley, and 2 granddaughters. A memorial to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, November 13 at the Wittmaekers residence, 107 Palm Valley Woods, Ponte Vedra. Howard Wallenstein Howard Wallenstein passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. He was born on May 8, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York. Howard was a graduate of Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He worked in the food manufacturing industry and ultimately retired from the Fulton County Public Works Department as a project manager. He proudly served as an officer in the United States Navy. An avid world traveler, private pilot, scubadiver and WW2 historian, Howard was known for his ability to talk to anyone and make them laugh. Howard Wallenstein is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Newman; his sister, Paula Camhi; his son, David Wallenstein; his daughter, Susan Gates; beloved step-sons, Ricky, Randy and Jody Newman along with six granddaughters, four grandsons, one great-granddaughter and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Mark Wallenstein. Howard will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.
