Contemporary impressionist artist, Ellen Diamond, will be making a presentation entitled

Evenings at Whitney Public Lecture
Dr. Greta Binford, associate professor of biology
Lewis & CLark College Department of Biology,
will give a lecture on “How the brown recluse
got its bite: spider venom diversity and evolution” Thursday, Nov. 12 from 5 7 p.m. as part of

The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach
celebrates 25 years of great shopping with the
Silver Anniversary of the Holiday Shoppes, Nov,
13-15 at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra
Beach, 50 Executive Way. Over 25 handpicked
boutiques from all across the country return
for this three day shopping extravaganza. New
this year will be several authors showcasing
and selling their books, as well as new food
vendors such as Ancient Olive and Nothing
Bundt Cakes. The Holiday Shoppes are open
Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 14 from 10
a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 15 from 11 a.m.-3

‘Lighthouse Speakeasy’ fundraiser
On Friday, Nov. 13, from 7-10 p.m., the St.
Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum will
host a special fundraiser featuring a selection
of craft whiskey samples and food pairings
from the Blackfly Restaurant. The “Lighthouse
Speakeasy” will include samples from Hudson
Whiskey, Jefferson’s Bourbon, Templeton Rye
and Carpano Antica Formula. All proceeds from
the event will benefit the Museum’s maritime
research and education programs. Tickets are

The Salt Marsh Brewgrass Festival benefit concert for the North Florida Land Trust is Saturday,
Nov. 14 from 2-8 p.m. at Big Talbot Island in
Jacksonville. The bluegrass concert event will

A second annual event to benefit the animals
of the Putnam County animal shelter is Saturday, Nov. 14 from 1-4 p.m. at the Moose Lodge,
10 Eighth St., Jacksonville Beach. There is no
entry fee to the fundraiser, but donations are
appreciated. The event will include live music, a
silent auction, a pet photo booth, food, a cash
bar and more. Holiday books donations will also
be collected and donated to Wolfson Children’s
Hospital The event is family-friendly and open
to the public and their (leashed) pets.

Lannadoo Celtic Festival
Join the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens
us on Sundays for a guided tour of our permanent collection. The tour is free with the cost
of admission. The museum is located at 829

Lannadoo, a Jacksonville Celtic Festival celebrating Celtic culture, music and heritage, will
take place over two day on Saturday, Nov. 14
and Sunday, Nov. 15 at the Seawalk Pavilion
and Latham Plaza. The festival will feature
family-friendly activities, food and merchandise
vendors, highland games, a 5K Kilt Run and
more. The festival is open to the public and free

Harvest Time at Fort Mose
On Saturday, Nov. 14 Florida Living History, Inc.,
in partnership with Fort Mose Historic State
Park and the Fort Mose Historical Society, will
present 18th-century, historical interpretation
focusing on harvest-time in colonial Spanish
Florida. The event is from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Fort
Mose Historic State Park,15 Fort Mose Trail, St.
Augustine. Admission to this heritage Event is
free of charge to the public. There is a Museum
admission fee of $2 per adult; children, age 5

The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet ensemble will
perform music by Piazzolla, J.S. Bach, Rodrigo
and others, Sunday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. at Lewis
Auditorium at Flagler College, St. Augustine.

Guided Bird Walk at Fort Mose
