U14A / U14B VII
U14A = P8 / W3 / D0 / L5
U14B = P7 / W5 / D0 / L2
The teams were constantly changing around due to a range of
different abilities and determination within the girls. It was a
season of highs and lows, but always maintaining enthusiasm
with a positive approach.
The girls’ skills improved as the season went on in all aspects.
All the girls were all willing to try different positions and were
all committed, which helped us to discover other skills and
techniques.
I think a memorable game of this season was against one of
our hardest oppositions, Hymers. The game was brilliant and
gripping with the ball moving up and down the courts at a fast
pace and the girls communicating well to get the ball down
U12 VII
The U12s have had a successful first
netball season and they have been a real
pleasure to coach, once again.
All the girls in the year group have
represented the school in several
fixtures, in either the A, the B or the C
team.
The A team have worked well together,
with consistently strong performances
from Honey Roe, Bethany Fenwick
and Scarlett Robinson. Player of the
and into the net. At half time, the score was close with 7-5
to Hymers, but we eventually got beaten with a tight score.
Although we did not win, that match showed that our U14
girls were able to put their great skills into action and come
out positively knowing that we played well. Although the girls
worked excellently as a team, sharing different tips and tricks,
they should proceed to train and play together to help their
bond so they can achieve a higher outcome and widen their
understanding of the game.
Well done, girls!
Player of the Season: Jessica McDowell
Most Improved: Charlie Groombridge and Izzy Scanlon
Most Committed: Ruby Remblance, Jessica McDowell,
Charlie Groombridge and Izzy Scanlon
Ruby Remblance
season, due to her excellent attitude
and commitment to training, goes to
Honey Roe, and Bethany Fenwick is
most improved, having been willing
to play in any position during fixtures.
Bethany has been a real asset to the
team all season. Maisie Spruyt and Evie
Rennison also deserve special mentions
for their commitment to training
throughout the term.
The Bs and Cs have also enjoyed a
strong season. Bella Foley’s shooting
has been superb and so she thoroughly
deserves player of the season alongside
Jessica Dyson who has been consistently
strong throughout. Most improved
player also goes to two players: Izzy
Rose and Louise Tomlinson, both of
whom have really come on this season.
Well done to all the girls for their
excellent attendance at practices when
able to, and for being so positive in their
approach.
