Licorice is 1 m long It is a perennial herbaceous
with roots. It comes from Africa but has expanded
throughout Europe and Asia. They can be found in
humid areas such as rivers and ravines.
Liquorice
flavours
are
used
as
candies
or
sweeteners, particularly in some European and
Middle Eastern countries.
Flowers
The flowers, 80 to
120 mm long, are
purple or pale blue
and grow up in small
inflorescences.
