The flower of Capparis Spinosa has 4 petals and long purple stamens. Flowers only last one day, but bloom profusely from May to early autumn. Capparis spinosa is native to the Mediterranean. It cannot grow in the shade. It prefers dry or moist soil and can tolerate drought. It is spiny. It is a shrub. The average height is a 20cm. This plant is creeping. Leaves This leaf is simple, with petiole, coriaceus. The leaf vein pattern is pinnate. The leaf shape base is rounded. Fruit Fruits are known as caperberries. They are green, oblong, multi- seeded and edible. Caperberries and young shoots with leaves may also be picked and pickled.
