“Titus the mighty”

To start this epic journey on the review of this band (TITUS), I must say this band impressed me. Which these days, is pretty hard to do because of all the monotonous motions and music most bands have been routing towards.

I will cover a couple aspects of the band. First, being quality of the Titus (EP). The recording is legit, it has a good heavy sound, the bass guitar and drums line up perfectly giving you that nice glorifying “punch in the face” sound these guys were more than happy to have. The guitars have damn near perfect tone, and clarity. Bands that are in this genre (metalcore/deathcore) have been tainting good riffs, sweeps and such by having way to much low end in their amps, which in turn destroys that good clarity and sound that makes the listener want to drive their car at a ridiculous speed into a tree just to feel the rush. These guys don’t do that. Its clear, in your face, and on a war path.

The next aspect I will be covering is the sound. Titus is just straight DIRTY! These songs will build you up, and at the end of the build up; won’t let you back down. BRUTAL ass music that will make you slap the taste out of your mama’s mouth. Their solos are nice; they keep a nice guitar undertone that gives it an eerie Deathcore feel. As a whole this EP covers allot of the way this genre needs to follow: it isn’t boring, it keeps you on your feet, and when the breakdown hits, it will make you grab the closest object near you and swing it around your head like a Viking and impale the closest object within range of destroying. Well done, fellas.

The album cover looks pretty old school, might almost give you a false impression on the feel of this band. Don’t get me wrong though, I like it. I’m pretty tired of seeing metal album covers with planets and weird ass designs like eyeballs floating in space and crap like that. These guys made it look eerie and ready to rock your ear holes. THIS BAND IS ONE NOT TO SLEEP ON! Keep your eyes peeled and your ears to the ground, this band will throw a sneak punch to your dome piece.

As an end of this review, I must give this brutal band 4 out of 5 stars. (Don’t worry guys; it’s a close 5 out of 5) Keep up the work and stay brutal \m/
