When BETTER THAN YOU begins you can feel the pain and anger in the opening guitar intro.That pain is brought to life in Rick's Voice,but it almost seems to ease in chorus when he sings with full emotion.This is a song of wrong doing and betrayal,but let me say this,you will find nothing wrong with the quality of this song.It is POWERFUL and you become captivated by the story.
YOU'RE GONE was the first track I ever heard off the new album.Sitting in the middle it is the backbone and it's there for a reason.The song is STRONG and you only need to hear it once to know how special it is.The band is at their best on this song with some of the heavier moments where they can just let their instruments fly.
