What were the paths that lead the other members to be musicians in Butterfly Corpse? How did they get started in music?
Jordan: Well as far as me becoming a part of Butterfly Corpse, I was playing a show at Amos' South end with Ballantyne School of Music and After the show Jess and Matthew approached me and said something along the line of: Hey man, you rocked, we've also seen you play with Rock U and you're kickass. Following that they told me that their band was looking for a Rhythm guitar, and because of the fact that I’m a part of two different music schools and in other bands, I didn't really want to do it. Then they told me who they were and that kind of changed the story. I was originally suppose to just fill in and help them out, but we all became good friends, and Jess was begging me to join the band so I just said "ah what the hell" and did it.
Brandon: Jess and I met in a music school when we were 13 and 14 and didn’t like each other at all. Then we just went our separate ways until I went to a different music school and saw her again and she asked me to audition for drums… and I did and the rest is history.
Ethan: I always wanted to play guitar in a band, but when I was offered to play bass for my friend’s band I didn’t hesitate to say yes. I then fell in love with playing bass, and after being in some different bands I finally stumbled into filling in for this band, then decided to stay.
Matthew: I originally tried to join as a rhythm guitarist a long time ago, but that position had already been filled. Then when the lead spot opened up I ended up getting in. obviously their rhythm guitarist they had at the time didn’t work out so then we found Jordan after I became a permanent member. I started playing guitar back in 5th grade, and I’ve just kept on playing since then, and now I’m here and loving every minute of it!
