Jess, I know you started singing at a young age. How old were you when you started singing and did you always know you wanted to sing in a Metal Band?
Jess: Well I started classical voice training when I was 4 and I always thought that that was what I was going to do, and eventually I wanted to be a country singer. Until my mom forced me to go to a “Rock School Program” and try singing rock. I hated it at first and then I discovered Metallica and Evanescence… A monster was then created. I’m still training currently with Jane Edgren who is just a phenomenal coach, we are working on opera pieces and I’m starting to study jazz vocals. She pushes me to be the best all around vocalist.
Is the band currently working on any new material?
Jess: Yes we are we have a new song called A Sheep In Wolf’s Clothing. It’s our sassy song, basically making fun of a certain unnamed person who really screwed me over (hehe). We are also going to be recording our single Done With You with Boo English at Knothole Recording studio. The cool thing about this song is that it will be featuring all of Charlotte and the surrounding cities local vocalist such as Amanda from Tattermask, Morgan from Luna’s Lament, Adam from Something Clever and many many more!
